BetaNews og på Henrik Gemals weblog har jeg fundet de første mere håndfaste informationer om den kommende Netscape-version, som vil blive baseret på Mozilla Firefox i modsætning til Netscape 6.x og 7.x der er baseret på Mozilla Suite ("Seamonkey"):

Den ser bestemt ud til at have nogle interessante idéer og features, omend de ikke ser ud til at have forsøgt at holde fast i Firefox' overskuelige brugerflade. Den nye Netscape ser ud til at blive noget mere "bloated" end Firefox (ja og Mozilla Suite også for den sags skyld).
